I present to you, "The Mini Plague Doctor" key fob. He can hang out with your keys or you can stuff his nose with lavender for some old school aromatherapy! This little guy is a sign of the times and just a weird little commemoration of what we are all going through. It makes a great gift.
This is hand cut and hand stitched by me, here in my workshop in Los Angeles, CA.
If you are unfamiliar with the Plague Dr,A plague doctor was a medical physician who treated victims of the bubonic plague. In times of epidemics, these physicians were specifically hired by towns where the plague had taken hold. Since the city was paying their salary, they treated everyone: both the wealthy and the poor. The clothing worn by the plague doctor was intended to protect them from airborne diseases. The costume, used in France and Italy in the 17th century, consisted of an ankle length overcoat and a bird-like beak mask, often filled with sweet or strong smelling substances (commonly lavender), along with gloves, boots, a wide-brimmed hat, and an outer over-clothing garment.
As with all of our products, you can expect a professional finish and lasting quality.
Thanks to Dieselpunk.ro for the pattern
